► The following section has spoilers for Eternal Sonata.
Once upon a time, in the small town of Tenuto, lived a fourteen year old girl named Polka. Polka was a very special young lady; you see, Polka had the ability to use magic, a sign that she was ill, and going to die very soon. Ever since she could remember, Polka had spent her life with her mother and the other townsfolk of Tenuto, selling Floral Powder in the neighboring city of Ritardando (or attempting to), and living a lonely existence without any friends (though the townsfolk were very polite toward her regardless).
One day, though, Polka's life changed. She met a man named Frederic who was like her; one who had the ability to use magic as well. Feeling that she could relate to Frederic, and even though he was an odd man who claimed that the entire world existed inside of a dream he was having, Polka befriended him and took him to see one of her most precious places, the flower field outside of her hometown. In that field, at two o'clock in the morning exactly, the flowers in that field bloomed. She explained that the flowers were known as 'heaven's mirror,' flowers that illuminated the dark of night and slept during the day. Some people knew them as 'death blossoms,' however, due to their nature of awakening during the night; light is good, dark is bad. She confesses that it is really up to his own interpretation, and that he should call them whatever he wants to. Polka then told Frederic that with the time she had left to live, she wanted to do something good for the people of the world. Thus, she told him of her plans to leave Tenuto and travel to Forte, to try and convince the Count to lower the taxes placed on Floral Powder so that the people of her village had a means of income, and an easier life as a result.
Polka and Frederic set out on their journey together, traveling through Agogo Forest. While there, they encounter a man known as Fugue, who attacks them without any reason whatsoever. Frederic and Polka are saved by a Guardian of Agogo Forest named March, who revealed to them later after they had rested and recovered that the creatures of the forest, known as Agogos, came to her and told her that they were in trouble. She also commented on how unusual it was for them to care so much for humans. It's while they are resting that they meet up with two boys named Allegretto and Beat, who are both orphans from Ritardando who had seen Polka in the city before, and knew of her illness by way of witnessing her heal a man in the city. When confronted with this, Polka becomes nervous and runs off, but also runs into a dangerous creature. Fortunately, the boys chased after her and were able to defeat the creature, saving her life. Afterward, the group witnesses something unheard of; the Agogos of the forest start glowing around them. March reveals how unusual this is, once again, and the group returns to March's house. After talking, getting to know each other, and realizing they had the same target goal in mind, Frederic and Polka united with Allegretto and Beat in traveling to Forte. March's sister Salsa had gone to Forte herself in order to ask the Count to stop the mining of Mount Rock, which was destroying the forest .... however, Salsa had left without her hat. March asks the party to return the hat to her sister, should they see her on their journey. They agree.
And so, the group carries on their way to Forte, and encounter a goat herder named Viola, who's goats are being attacked by some very strange creatures. The group helps Viola in fighting and defeating the creatures. Viola thanks them afterward, explaining that the creatures they just defeated were once human; in fact, they were humans who lost their minds and their humanity due to taking Mineral Powder regularly for such a long time. Now knowing the side affects of the medicine, the group had more reasons than ever to meet with the Count and make him stop his sales of such a harmful product. Viola and her traveling companion/pet Arco join the party at this point, wanting to stop any more innocent people from becoming the kinds of monsters she has seen so many of.
Now with one more addition, the group heads off once more toward Forte. They come to the Cabasa Bridge, which leads to Fort Fermata, an old war fort of Forte. They would have to make it through the Fort in order to cross into Forte proper. They make it through the Fort and into the city, only to be stopped at the gates by Tuba, one of Count Waltz's henchmen. Tuba mistakes the group for another group, and not only refuses to allow them into the castle, but also refuses to listen to them at all. Tuba and our group of adventurers engage in battle, but despite Tuba's defeat, our heroes are arrested and thrown into the dungeon anyway.
... the very same dungeon which held the other guardian of Agogo Forest. They return the hat to Salsa, who despite being March's identical twin is very different from her, and then Allegretto uses his epic thievery skills to pick the lock on the prison gate and allow everyone to escape. They find a secret tunnel in the dungeon and, without many other options, take it to escape into the outside world.
Escaping via this passageway leads them outside, and face-to-face with three members of the rebel group of Forte, Andantino. Jazz, Falsetto, and Claves were on a mission to find and rescue the imprisoned guardian of Agogo Forest, and our heroes had only made that mission not only successful, but easy by way of bringing Salsa with them when they escaped. With that mission a success and everybody out of Forte, the Andantino trio begins to lead the group back through Fort Fermata and across Cabasa Bridge, where Jazz explains the history behind the fort; A previous King of Forte was so loved and revered by his subjects that he couldn't stand to lose them, and thus Fort Fermata had been constructed in order to make it so none of his subjects could leave Forte, but also so that nobody new could come to the city either. As they start to cross the Cabasa Bridge, however, Tuba comes after them for a rematch. This time, he had nothing left to lose; if he failed to kill the escaped prisoners, he was as good as dead anyway. Thus, when the heroes defeated him a second time, he cut the ropes of the bridge in a last ditch effort to kill everyone, including himself. Everyone fell into the river below, and were separated.
Polka, Beat, Frederic, and Salsa all ended up fortunate. They were spotted by a ship and brought aboard, given rooms to rest in and food to eat. The Captain of the ship was none other than the Prince of Forte's rival country, Baroque. Prince Crescendo was very kind to them, and told them not to worry so much about repaying him for saving their lives, that they should simply rest and regain their strength. Unfortunate for them, the pirate ship Dolce decided to ambush them. Still wishing to repay Prince Crescendo for his kindness (and really having no choice due to Salsa's excitement to meet a real pirate captain), everyone went on board the ship to beat the pirates back and cause them to leave Crescendo's ship alone. They succeed, and continue on to Baroque.
A few days after arriving in Baroque, Prince Crescendo and his fiance, a princess of Forte named Serenade, call the group to their quarters to discuss something important. The Prince and Princess want to find a way to keep a war from starting between Baroque and Forte, and whereas they had been giving their support to Andantino's rebellion beforehand, they had decided to cut off their support for the sake of a less-violent means of dealing with Forte. Everyone in the group was against the idea, but as it was ultimately up to the Prince and Princess regardless, they agreed to seek out Jazz and inform him themselves in their stead. As they are on their way to leaving the castle, Serenade's dog Minuet has a family treasure, a mirror, fall upon him. When they lift the mirror, they find the dog is gone. Serenade is understandably in a panic about her lost dog, but they don't have to worry for too much longer about the whereabouts of the dog, because they're sucked into the mirror after it. Everybody is separated, and Polka wakes up alone. She starts trying to search for everyone else, first coming across Crescendo, who stands in front of the portrait of a former king of Baroque. The portrait relays that king's inner thoughts regarding conflict with Forte. Confused, but still determined to find everyone else, Polka and Crescendo set off. They find Serenade next, and more clues about the inner thoughts of the former king are revealed as they continue on and find Beat next, and then finally, Frederic and Salsa. They fight a monster, and make their way out of the mirror, Minuet among them once more.
... So then after that insane ordeal, they set out back toward Ritardando. Once arriving in Agogo Forest again, however, they are attacked once more by Fugue, who had been looking for the glowing Agogos the entire time. Frustrated in the lack of results he's had, he decides to attack the group once more, which results in a defeat for him, and another escape. Once more, the Agogos show and begin glowing around the group, and March begins to hypothesize based on something she read that the Agogos are reflecting the light of Polka's astra, or the jewel inside of her heart (which was commonly thought of as a fairytale before this point).
Frederic, Beat, and Polka leave Agogo Forest soon after, while Salsa stays with her sister. Polka heads back to Tenuto to visit her mother, and Frederic and Beat move to Ritardando to see if Allegretto had passed through there at all. Fortunately for them, Allegretto is unharmed and waiting for them in the hideout he and Beat share. The reunion is a happy one, however, there is some sad news; Claves was murdered during their part of the journey. It was revealed that Claves was a spy for Forte, and when she was no longer of use to her country, she had been disposed of. Since discovering Claves' murder, Falsetto had also gone missing. Jazz had gone to Baroque to meet with his old friend Prince Crescendo, and Viola had returned home to check on her herd of sheep. Allegretto learns from Frederic and Beat that Polka had gone to Tenuto, and decides to bring her back personally so that they can catch the next ship to Baroque. On their way out of the city, though, a crowd is gathered at the church. Evidently, strange noises had been heard from the basement. Some of the townsfolk recognize Allegretto and Beat as the orphans who had been stealing bread, and demand that they be the ones to check out the noises. Now voluntold into doing the job, they make their way into the church with Frederic. At the moment they begin to investigate, they are reunited with Viola, Salsa, and March, who had come to meet them for the ship to Baroque as well. Seeing as there were "more than enough people" to handle the problem, Allegretto takes his leave from the group to go to Tenuto, leaving a very irritated group of friends behind to take care of the work themselves.
Allegretto makes it to Tenuto and meets with Polka's mother first, talking to her about Polka's condition and asking if there was anything that could be done to save her, meeting with less than favorable results in that regard. He then goes to meet her in the flower field, and the two share a sweet moment where they talk together under the moonlight. Polka jokes around about jumping and ending her life right there and then, much to Allegretto's opposition. She tells him she was kidding, and instead throws her special treasure into the sea in her stead. Allegretto then gives her a strange-looking rock that he had found on the shores of Ritardando to replace the treasure she had thrown in, telling her not to throw it away, because it was the first gift he had ever given to a girl. As Allegretto walked away from her, Polka stared at the rock in surprise; it was the exact same rock she had just thrown into the sea.
The group is on the first ship to Baroque come morning, and arrive in Baroque soon enough. The group waits in Baroque for a week, allowing Crescendo some time to make a decision on what to do about Forte. Jazz had already spoken with him, trying to sway his decision and get him to see things the way he did. Crescendo had his own thoughts in mind, however, and asked Jazz to leave him alone with them for the time being. Jazz respected his friend's wishes, and left him be. In the meantime, the group decided to go to the Aria Temple in order to learn more about Astras. During this, they are attacked by yet another of Waltz's minions, Rondo. Falsetto returns to the group at this point, revealing that it was Rondo who had murdered Claves, and also revealing the reasons why she disappeared so suddenly. She aids in defeating Rondo, but at the end of their little adventure, Polka collapses and is unable to be awakened. They bring her back to Baroque and then return to Agogo Forest on March's suggestion (and Allegretto's desperation to help her) to meet with the Agogo Queen Mother and see if she will help the sickly young girl. While in the Forest, they come across Fugue one final time, defeating him once more. The Agogo Queen Mother isn't pleased with Fugue for his actions, and puts an end to him once and for all by eating him. The Agogo Queen Mother is so angry at this point that the guardians have to find a way to calm her down before they can talk with her. Fortunately, they are able to do so, and the group returns to Baroque with the Agogo Queen Mother, ready to save their fallen friend. And, as luck would have it, it works.
Now that Polka is back on her feet, the group returns to see if the Prince has made a decision, only to find that the Prince and Princess are nowhere to be found. Jazz suspects that they have gone to Forte alone to turn themselves over as an offering of peace, and the group makes haste in trying to find them, using the castle's teleporter to take them directly to Mount Rock.
At the base of Mount Rock is a sacred place known as the Cello Tree, where an elderly fortune teller lives. She recognizes Polka and most of the group, stating that she had a feeling she would be seeing her again soon. Naturally, everyone is confused, and continues to be so when the woman states that Polka had been to the place several times before, over the span of hundreds, or even thousands of years. The woman notices Frederic, though, and tells him she never expected to see him, that his destiny is not tied to this world. She then goes on to tell everyone that Polka is destined to draw a fortune of bad luck, and tie it to one of the branches of the tree. She talks to Frederic and tells him that despite the fact that he doesn't need to draw a fortune himself, he should go with Polka and see this through himself as well. So, he does. Polka draws a fortune and moves to the Cello Tree, with Frederic following. She opens the fortune, and to her surprise, it's blank. Allegretto joins them soon after, stubborn boy that he is, and upon seeing the blank fortune makes a mention that at least it's not bad. This causes Polka's way of thinking to change, and for her to believe that the fortune will be a good fortune. The group leaves the Cello Tree without Polka tying any fortunes onto a branch, and head quickly toward Mount Rock.
At Mount Rock, they catch up to Crescendo and Serenade and try to convince them not to go through with what they plan. As the two of them are trying to explain themselves, Count Waltz arrives with Legato, his right hand man, and an army of dragons. The Count reveals that Crescendo and Serenade are not what he wants, and promises not to hurt anyone as long as they hand Polka over. He had learned from Rondo some time ago that Polka is the source of the glowing Agogos, and wants to infuse the Glowing Agogos into his mineral powder in order to make it more effective. The theory is proven when Polka nearly gives herself up to save her friends. As soon as it is, though, Waltz backhands Polka unconscious and then proceeds to go back on his word, attacking the group and forcing them to fight and defeat him. After his defeat, he forces Legato to drink the new mineral powder medicine they have created, causing the man to transform into a monster completely unlike any others they have ever encountered. On Waltz's command, Legato blows a hole in the universe, and the two of them escape. Polka regains consciousness, and the Party follows Waltz and Legato into the hole to chase them, not knowing where they will end up.
To their surprise, they find themselves .... on the moon.
No, really. They do. The place was more than just the Moon, however. It was a sort of 'limbo' for those who had died as a result of the mineral powder's effects. They speak with the spirits of the town, and find out where Waltz and Legato are likely staying. In order to go through the barrier leading to it, though, the group would have to receive the Elder's permission to explore Xylophone Tower and defeat the guardians of the barrier. They gain permission, make it through the tower, defeat the guardians, and then proceed to meet with Waltz and the newly transformed Legato. They have one more battle with the two of them, and upon his defeat, Waltz gives Legato one final command: Destroy their world, and everything and everyone in it.
Thus, another hole in the universe is made. Legato escapes through it and proceeds to follow that final command. By the time the party arrives where the portal leads, they are too late. The world is a barren wasteland, completely devoid of life. It is here that Frederic decides it's time to end his dream, and turns on the entire party, challenging them to one final battle to determine whether this world really is a dream, or reality. This ends in Frederic's defeat, and his death.
Understanding what she must do in order to save the world, Polka kneels by Frederic's body, heals him, and apologizes. She then moves to the side of the ledge, telling everyone to stay back, and explaining that the only way to save the world is for her to jump off of the ledge and illuminate the darkness with the light of her astra. Despite everyone's protests and Allegretto's cries of anguish, she makes the jump.
Polka reverts to a four year old girl at the bottom of the cliff, falling into her mother's waiting arms. She begins her life anew, starting her life over again with her mother, and starting yet another cycle of this world. Things begin to happen just as they were shown in flashbacks, with her four year old self asking her mother why there are waves. This time, however, as she and her mother talk, Frederic's voice talks over them. He says that she should be allowed to live her life happily, and not have such a burden placed upon her. With this, he declares that he wanted to call the flowers she loved so much, and that so much resembled her 'heaven's mirror.' With that name, four year old Polka turns to her mother and apologizes, saying that someone is calling to her. She and her mother share one final, tender moment, and Polka is lifted back up into her previous life, returning as the fourteen year old girl she once was. As she touches down onto the barren wasteland in front of all of her friends and the person she has fallen in love with, the light of her astra is released, and the barren wasteland becomes beautiful and green again. After gathering her bearings, she sees Allegretto, runs to him, and embraces him tightly.
She can now rest easy. She's no longer dying. She can finally live her life, with the one she loves and all of the friends she's made.
♫ ρєяѕσηαℓιту
Polka is presented as a sweet, loving, selfless, and yet very lonely young lady. She is also presented as very strong, as she is well aware that she is dying of a fatal illness, and yet, she still manages to keep going on with everyday life, even eventually going so far to make the decision on her own to leave her little village and venture out into the world to try and do something good with the remainder of the time she had left to live. While she continues to maintain a sweet, loving, selfless presence throughout the duration of the game, she also grows in other ways, as events throughout her story shape the person she is by the end of the game.
Before making the decision to leave her village, Polka had only been to two places beforehand; Tenuto, her home village, and Ritardando, a neighboring City where she had gone frequently to sell Floral Powder. As such, she is very naive about the world, and doesn't know a lot about it until she leaves.
Before going on her journey, Polka was a very lonely little girl. Due to her illness, nobody wished to be close to her, for fear of it being contagious. While it had been proven untrue, the general consensus among everybody was that it was, and that being close to somebody who had that very fatal illness would result in that person contaminating anybody they shared space with. Polka even told her mother at one point that she didn't mind that she was dying, but she didn't like being unable to make any friends as a result of her impending death. Thankfully, this began to change as she started out on her journey; it began with meeting Frederic, an odd sort of fellow who claimed that the world Polka knew as her own was all in his dream.
Which, of course, leads me to my next point regarding Polka: She's overall very accepting of other people and their flaws, recognizing them as a part of what makes people themselves. She also has a very unique way of looking at the world, which is likely a result of having to confront her own death. Despite Frederic saying his bit about his dream, Polka had a little fun poking at him and asking him to prove that he knew everything about the world, even going so far as to ask him what she was thinking. She admits later that she doesn't necessarily believe that the world is Frederic's dream, but also openly admits that she believes it's a beautiful way to look at things, and thereby implies that not only does she accept Frederic for who he is and what he believes, but also that she thinks of Frederic as someone very special in her life (her first friend). She even goes so far as to emphasize that Frederic is a person, and has a name; Even to someone she eventually falls in love with, who at the time was referring to Frederic in a very demeaning manner.
That said, Polka loves and cherishes all of the friends she has, recognizing that they are people who love and cherish her as well, impending doom and all. Whenever her self-confidence tanks (which happens at times!), they're always right there to pick her up and make sure she keeps going. She's thankful for this, and wants to do whatever she can to make certain the wonderful people she calls her friends, and the person she loves more than anyone else, are safe from anything; even the destruction of the world itself.
Yes, it's true. Polka is willing to sacrifice her own life in order to revitalize the world, and she continues to confirm and reaffirm herself throughout her journey that, should things get bad, she will have to do it. And she does. Thankfully, Frederic's presence in the world was what made it the world was able to be revitalized without the need for her to commit suicide, but the fact still remains that she was - and to some extent probably still is - willing to do such a thing for the sake of the world she loves. She's a very loyal and dedicated young lady, who really just wants for everyone to be happy, healthy, and safe from harm.

♫ ιηтяσ∂υcтιση
Eternal Sonata's battle system is very unique in that it provides attacks and healing abilities that require the character to be in either the light or dark parts of the battlefield. Polka is one of the main healers of the game, and as such, some of her light-based abilities are healing abilities.
The following is a complete list of light (☀) and darkness-based (☽) abilities, or "Masters", for Polka, with short descriptions of how each of them work. This list was compiled with some help from the Special Attacks section of Polka's wikipedia page. Visual representation of all of these attacks can be seen here, at this youtube video.
♫ ℓιgнт αвιℓιтιєѕ
☀ Orange Glow: "Here we go!"
▶ Description: Heals a small amount of HP to a (1) party member within a small range.
▷ Bastion: Will heal cuts and scrapes, but nothing serious. If used the maximum amount of times, it will tire her out.
☀ Earth Heal: "Here, let me help you!"
▶ Description: Heals a moderate amount of HP to all (2) party members within a slightly larger range; excludes healing of Polka herself.
▷ Bastion: Will heal minor lacerations and decrease pain. Healing multiple people with this ability will be very difficult on her, and will exhaust her after a couple of uses.
☀ Shooting Star: "Even I get angry sometimes!"
▶ Description: A 'shooting star' forms in Polka's hand and she throws it at an enemy within a moderate range. Light counterpart to Shade Comet.
▷ Bastion: Range is limited to whichever enemy is in sight; will kill weaker enemies, and do moderate damage to medium strength enemies, and light damage to strong enemies.
☀ Roundel: "Stay out of my way!"
▶ Description: Polka calls forth a beacon of light that sends multiple beams of light down to trap an enemy/a few enemies within a small range and damage it/them. Light counterpart to Zodiac.
▷ Bastion: Any attack where Polka is attacking or healing multiple targets will exhaust her. That said, the damage from this attack will kill weaker enemies, do high damage to medium strength enemies, and moderate damage to stronger enemies.
☀ Pure Geyser: "Don't blame me for this!"
▶ Description: Polka calls forth geysers of light and water that attack all enemies on the field. Light counterpart to Terra Externa.
▷ Bastion: Again, this will exhaust her after one use. Range will be limited to enemies in her line of sight. This will kill weaker enemies, do high damage or kill medium strength enemies, and moderate to high damage to stronger enemies.
☀ Disruption Wave: "Now, keep watching!"
▶ Description: Polka lands consecutive attacks on an enemy, and then finishes the attack off with a wave of energy that hits the enemy hard, and sends a wave to hit any enemies behind the one being attacked. Light counterpart to Nether Wave.
▷ Bastion: Will remain fairly unchanged in terms of how it effects Polka to perform. She'll be tired, but not as exhausted as intentional attack of multiple enemies will make her. Kills weak enemies, does high damage/kills medium strength enemies, and moderate/high damage to stronger enemies.
☀ Blossom Shower: "Do your best, everyone!"
▶ Description: Heals a large amount of HP to all (3) party members on the field.
▷ Bastion: As this is her strongest healing Master, this has a chance Polka will pass out after one use; if she doesn't, she will be exhausted to a point where she may not be able to do anything more. Her range is still limited to healing two other allies in addition to herself, though healing herself will not restore her energy at all. This can heal major lacerations to an extent and decrease pain, and can assist in helping fatal wounds heal. Broken bones and fatal wounds will still require extra medical attention, but this is strong enough to help keep someone alive until further medical attention is received.
♫ ∂αяк αвιℓιтιєѕ
☽ Shade Comet: "Now, keep watching!"
▶ Description: A 'comet' forms in Polka's hand and she throws it at an enemy within a moderate range. Light counterpart to Shooting Star.
▷ Bastion: Range is limited to whichever enemy is in sight; will kill weaker enemies, and do moderate damage to medium strength enemies, and light damage to strong enemies.
☽ Nether Wave: "Isn't that enough?!"
▶ Description: Polka lands consecutive attacks on an enemy, and then finishes the attack off with a wave of energy that hits the enemy hard, and sends a wave to hit any enemies behind the one being attacked. Darkness counterpart to Disruption Wave.
▷ Bastion: Will remain fairly unchanged in terms of how it effects Polka to perform. She'll be tired, but not as exhausted as intentional attack of multiple enemies will make her. Kills weak enemies, does moderate damage to medium strength enemies, and light damage to stronger enemies.
☽ Zodiac: "Time to go for a spin!"
▶ Description: Polka calls forth a beacon of dark energy that sends multiple beams of dark energy down to trap an enemy/a few enemies within a small range and damage it/them. Darkness counterpart to Roundel.
▷ Bastion: This will exhaust her due to using this Masater to attack multiple enemies on the field. Damage from this attack will kill weaker enemies, do high damage to medium strength enemies, and moderate damage to stronger enemies.
☽ Terra Externa: "Now this'll be over!"
▶ Description: Polka calls forth waves of dark energy that attack all enemies on the field. Darkness counterpart to Pure Geyser.
▷ Bastion: Will exhaust her after one use. Range will be limited to enemies in her line of sight. This will kill weaker enemies, do high damage or kill medium strength enemies, and moderate to high damage to stronger enemies.

Also a thing of note, in Polka's world, only those who are going to die soon showed any magic ability outside of masters. At the beginning of the game, Polka was dying, and had the ability to use healing magic outside of battle. By the end of the game, though, she's cured of the ailment that was killing her (to put it in easy terms). Despite this, she is still able to use the previously listed Masters during battle, including the healing techniques. She just won't be able to use any healing magic outside of battle, like she could before when she was ill.
In the Bastion, there will be some limits to her techniques. Masters can only be used on the skyway, and each of her techniques will be limited to three uses per day, without the use of a tonic. In her canon, some abilities are able to reach all of the targets on the field, and for that she will be limited to those who are within her sight (within reason, of course. One can't expect her to have perfect aim from farther away, hm?).
There is something called 'echoes' in Polka's canon, which can be built up and used to make the techniques of the party more powerful. Echoes will no longer be available for use upon her entry into the Bastion. Not even on the skyway. The same will go for Harmony Chains, which are chains of attacks executed by all party members to maximize damage to enemies. Harmony Chains are dependent on echoes in order to execute, so the exclusion of echoes will also exclude Harmony Chains by default.
Entry:
♫ тσgєтнєя
If she is accepted alongside Jazz and Frederic, Polka will be entering via the skyway and will be making her way to the Bastion with the aforementioned two friends of hers. Their journey to the Bastion will have a log to accompany it.
♫ αℓσηє
If she arrives alone, she will make attempts to reach the Bastion on her own, and will likely not arrive completely unscathed. She will likely need medical attention.
Other:
♫ нєα∂cαηση
I have some headcanon for Polka that I would like to do something with here in the Bastion. The game confirms that every time Polka makes the jump to "save the world," she is in fact resetting it. There are points in the game that suggest the possibility of Polka and potentially other members of the party having some resurfacing of memories, and with the cycle finally broken with Frederic, I would like for more of those memories of past journeys in her world start to resurface in the form of nightmares. It's an idea that has some canonical backing that I would really like to be able to play with, if allowed.
